Ashley + Philip are both artists by trade, and their love of all things creative – like architecture, photography, music + indie coffee culture – became the foundation for a fun celebration where every little detail was purposely + artistically planned. Their wedding took place at a beautiful historical warehouse (the Pointe) in Louisville’s Butcher District and was filled with an abundance of 1920’s inspired details, but they kept things fresh by including lots of modern touches, too. They chose to incorporate things they love, that they thought reflected their unique aesthetic, and then selected a talented team of vendors they knew they could trust to carry out their vision. By allowing other artists to be a part of the creative process, their ideas were stretched to even more epic heights and their day was even better than they could have ever imagined!
Big thanks to Lang Thomas Photography for the gorgeous photography and congrats to Ashley + Philip on an amazing day!
I’m so madly in love with Ashley’s stunning, oversized bouquet by Jaclyn Journey!
And how adorable are the bridesmaids in their lovely straw hats? Ashley purchased the hats at Stein Mart and asked Jaclyn to decorate them with a pretty garland of fresh flowers!
The guys didn’t look too bad either! ;)
Before the ceremony, there was a coffee hour in which baristas made drinks to order for guests. Philip went behind the counter and made a latte for Ashley, who was tucked away until the ceremony started. So sweet right?!
And Ashley gifted her gals with pretty jadeite coffee cup sets!
Ok, let’s talk about this incredible ceremony backdrop for a sec! Ashley + Philip exchanged their vows in front of a beautiful spiral art piece consisting of different types of greenery pinned to a giant wooden board. So, so gorgeous and inventive! Love it.
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of farm-raised burgers and fresh picked vegetables for dinner followed by a bourbon chocolate cake with caramel icing, made by Cake Flour, for dessert. Yum!
Try to plan with people whose work you admire. It’s quite wonderful to see creative minds come together and produce something great.
